Repairs and Refurbishment

With over thirty year's experience, our goldsmiths can repair and restore a wide range of jewellery. Our workshop experts carry out soldering repairs and ring sizing as well as full restoration work.

Bespoke Service & Special Orders

Piggotts carries a large selection of watches and jewellery. Most items are available in alternative gem stones and a variety of metals. We can get items on approval (with a small refundable deposit), for you to view, with no obligation to buy.
Alternatively, if you'd like to add the personal touch to your gift or purchase, why not use our bespoke service to create your own design? We source individual stones and handcraft jewellery, making bespoke one-off commissions that are truly unique. Email us to find out more!

Valuations

Jewellery is precious and can be one of your greatest assets. Building an enviable collection is an achievement to be proud of, but do you know its true worth?

Without meaningful information, any insurance claim could become complex, time-consuming and unlikely to yield the settlement you desire.

We use our own valuer who is registered with the National Association of Goldsmiths Institute of Registered Valuers. Our valuer who is also a member of the Association of Jewellery Appraisers ensures you have accurate information that is well documented and photographed, including a current value for each of the items in your jewellery portfolio. www.ajappraisers.org

Watch servicing

Our watch workshop can overhaul, restore and clean most makes of watch. All services carried out come with a 12 month guarantee on the movement. We recommend that a service is carried out every 2-5 years depending on the make. Services include the replacing of all worn internal parts, buttons, re-oiling the working parts, and re-sealing. Having the case re-sealed when a battery is replaced will prolong the life of the movement; this offers the protection against water and moisture, reducing the risk of corrosion which is often the demise of the unit. A service gives you peace of mind for the next few years, especially if the watch is sentimental.

Insurance claims

Our team has extensive experience in helping our customers settle claims for items bought or valued at Piggotts, whether the claim is for a repair, lost or stolen item. We can negotiate the best settlement on your behalf.

Engraving

We offer a vast range of engraving styles to personalise your gift, plaque or trophy. For more detailed and artistic engraving our hand engraver can produce bespoke initials and recreate family crests including intaglio seals.

Scrap metal

Piggotts recommends re-fashioning jewellery items rather than selling them for scrap. If your items are damaged or no longer worn then choose a modern design and we can take your raw materials including stone set items and have a new hand finished personal piece of jewellery made. If you are looking to release the value tied up in your unwanted items, we can offer cash or vouchers - contact us now to arrange for a quote.

Gift cards and vouchers

If you can't decide on the perfect gift or would like a present that fits through the post, why not ask us about Piggotts gift vouchers? These are available from in £10 and £20 denominations and can be spent in store for up to 6 months from the date of purchase.

Lay away service and interest free credit

Any purchase can be put on deposit and paid off over a period of 6 months. All we ask is a minimum of 10% of the total cost to secure your item. You can pay as much or as little as you like until the goods are ready to be presented. Interest free credit is available on purchases over £350.
